The Challenge of Logic

Sudoku is a logic-based, combinatorial number-placement puzzle. The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3x3 subgrids that compose the grid contain all of the digits from 1 to 9.

How to Play Our Version

• Start a Game: Choose a difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert) and click "New Game" to generate a puzzle. The "given" numbers are fixed and cannot be changed.
• Enter Numbers: Click on an empty cell to select it. Then, use your keyboard (numbers 1-9) to enter your guess. Use 'Backspace' or 'Delete' to clear a cell.
• Visual Cues: The selected cell, along with its corresponding row, column, and 3x3 box, are highlighted to help you focus. Cells with the same number as the one you've selected are also highlighted.
• Error Checking: The tool doesn't have a dedicated "Check" button. Instead, it relies on you to spot inconsistencies. However, once the board is full, it will tell you if you've successfully solved it without any errors.
• Need Help? Use the "Hint" button to reveal a correct number in a random empty cell. If you're completely stuck, the "Solve" button will instantly fill in the entire solution.
• Reset: Made a mess? The "Reset Board" button will clear all your entries, returning the puzzle to its initial state.
